A federal judge recently overturned a 1998 U.S. law that makes it a crime for commercial web site operators to let children access "harmful" material. It'll probably be appealed.
I disagree wiith you about it being appealled. This seems to me like part of a something a lot bigger by the government to attack the adult industry. Now I am not one for feeding into conspiracy theories, but why someone would, for all intensive purposes, "allow" children to view pornographic material just seems plainly stupid.
I think this part of a plan enabling children to access these materials is two enable more lawsuits from angry parents and state courts. It also allows anti-porn groups to correctly point out "They're letting children view this material." It seems to me like just the governments way of providing us with a nuse for them to hang us with.
