What are the advantages of having a high speed connection such as DSL or cable? |
DSL has greater bandwidth than a dialup modem. This means that more information can get to your computer faster than if you are using a modem. This results in better image quality and more consistent streaming.
| Why does the video clip occasionally pause? |
This is either due to net congestion (too many people online at once) or due to problems with your connection speed. For optimum results, we recommend DSL or other broadband. Slower dialup modems (such as 28k or 56k) can result in poor image quality and pauses (due to the inability of the modem to handle the higher bit-rate of video webstreams).

| Trouble viewing video clips? |
Our video clips stream via free Adobe Flash Player and RealPlayer plug-ins. Flash Player versions are specific to your operating system and browser. You can install or update your browser's Flash Player by clicking HERE. If you still can't view the Flash format streams, you may be able to troubleshoot via Adobe Flash Player Support online. NOTE: Flash format streaming clips can be relatively large, and may result in frequent buffering pauses if your internet connection is less robust. By clicking the Flash Player's "Pause" button at initial call-up of a clip, then waiting around 20 to 45 seconds, you can usually subsequently view an entire clip through without holdups. RealPlayer can be downloaded via the Real.com website by clicking HERE. The "FREE RealPlayer" link is near the top right of the page. If you are experiencing difficulties with your RealPlayer, then try out RealPlayer Support. NOTE: The first time RealPlayer opens, Real has a security requirement that you must enter your site User Name & Password again before the Real stream will play. BUT if you thereafter keep the RealPlayer OPEN — whether currently Playing a clip, Paused or Stopped does not matter — you can jump around & click-to-play any of the other clips on the site WITHOUT having to type your Password info any more times. If you continue having trouble streaming in either Flash or Real formats, send us an E-mail and we will try to figure out the problem.
